1. Overview
An atomic clock software works by connecting to time servers over the internet, for example, to the time servers at NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) in Boulder, Colorado. It compares the local time in the computer with the current time reported by the time server. The program then displays the difference between the two values (your system time and the time in the atomic clock server) and if greater than 15 seconds, it lets you adjust your PC time. The overall uncertainty in this comparison should be no worse than +/- 5 seconds under all circumstances and will be substantially less than this value in most cases.
2. Program Description
Atomclock is an advanced atomic clock sync software that synchronizes the time of your computer with time servers over the Internet. Atomclock can use the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) servers or others built in servers localted around the world. It can be used also as a small desktop chronograph. Atomclock has a friendly interface and many useful features which makes the time synchronization process fast and easy.
